Abstract

Adalimumab is a human monoclonal antibody against tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-¥á), which blocks the activity of TNF-¥á receptor. TNF-¥á inhibitors have been chosen as a therapeutic option in these diseases. A 43-year-old woman with a 19-year history of severe plaque psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis had been treated with adalimumab for 3 years. She was presented with pain in both arms and shoulders. On the basis of laboratory results, imaging studies, and histopathologic findings, we ruled out other possible differential diagnosis. After the cessation of adalimumab treatment and starting systemic corticosteroid treatment, the pain was relieved. Herein, we report a rare case of myopathy after adalimumab therapy.
